AI’s rise sparks both excitement and anxiety—but our survey of 510 U.S. adults revealed one group stands out for its concern: young adults aged 18–24.

83.3% of respondents in this age range cited job loss as their top fear—far surpassing older age groups. Why? Many are in entry-level roles or just starting careers, making them especially vulnerable to automation.

 

Their concerns go beyond employment. 33.3% also flagged data privacy as a key issue, alongside broader distrust in AI systems and lack of regulation.

 

This group’s fears reflect a deeper unease: they’ve grown up tech-savvy, but wary. Addressing their concerns will require more than innovation—it demands transparency, education, and ethics.
