🌍 Where we’ve been—and where we’re headed
What even is a digital twin?
During Panoplai's NY Tech Week panel, "Synthetic Signals: Transforming Audience Discovery" on June 3rd, this fundamental question arose.
Neil Dixit, CEO and Founder of Panoplai, broke it down like this:
"Years ago, companies were looking to create digital versions of something that exists in the real world. For example, General Electric, creating a digital model of an airplane engine. So take that, fast forward to today, in the world of marketing and research, we have digital versions of real people—digital twins—who can answer surveys, test messaging and simulate decisions." - Neil Dixit
Fielding doesn't always go as planned—quotas can be off, or audiences can be hard to reach. That's where data weighting comes in. It lets you rebalance your dataset post-collection to accurately reflect your target population, ensuring sound insights even with an imperfect sample.
Why weight data?
Fielding Adjustments: Correct for sample imbalances (e.g., age, region) or missed quotas.
Hard-to-Reach Audiences: Ensure underrepresented groups (like 65+ TikTok users for census balance) are accurately reflected in your analysis.
What's New with Panoplai?
You can now easily import and apply weights to your dataset. Check out the support article!
1. Click Manage Weights in any project
2. Download respondent IDs (RIDs).
3. Add your weights to the weight column.
4. Upload to Panoplai's dashboard.
5. Seamlessly toggle between 'weighted' and 'unweighted' views for analysis.
Balance your data. Reflect reality.
This feature simplifies post-fielding adjustments, ensuring your data tells the full, accurate story.
